Criminal charges are very serious and if convicted will have a negative impact on your life.

The Criminal Code has three classifications of offences:  indictable, summary and hybrid. Generally speaking, a summary conviction is considered to be less serious than an indictable or hybrid offence.  Summary conviction punishments can be up to six months in prison and a maximum fine of $5000.  Whereas indictable offences are the most serious and can cause lengthy jail sentences.  Because of the seriousness of criminal charges, it's best to contact Nuada Legal Services as soon as possible.
